What are my refund options for bookings to or from the United States?
When your trip or a part of it has been canceled or significantly changed by the airlines, your refund options depend on whether or not you have our disruption services.
Without our disruption services, we'll only offer you a refund back to your original payment method or in Kiwi.com Credit. You’ll get a full refund, apart from the cost of our service fees which are not refundable.
If you choose to request a refund, we may need to check with the airlines to confirm your eligibility. If we need their confirmation, we’ll refund you back to your original payment method within 7 days of receiving it. Otherwise we’ll refund you within 7 days of receiving your request. Your refund won’t include our service fees, which are not refundable.
You can check your refund status by logging into your account, opening your trip, and clicking Refunds and cancellations.
If you have our disruption services, you can either request a refund back to your original payment method, get instantly refunded in Kiwi.com Credit, or choose an alternative flight in the case of Disruption Protection Premium.
If you choose Kiwi.com Credit, we’ll take several factors into consideration and base your compensation amount on the cost of alternative flights, the cost of your unused flights, or the cost of your full itinerary.
