This Isabelline style building was erected in 1505–1517. Several Spanish monarchs, including Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand, were buried here. You can see their tombs, sculpted by Domenico Fancelli, in the centre of the transept. The Chapel also houses a museum containing the most valuable belongings of the monarchs, such as the sceptre and the crown.

This structure was built as a palace in the 14th century by the Nasrid dynasty and later served as a convent. The building we can see nowadays is quite small. Still, the interior of its square hall (six meters per side) is splendid in its Moorish style. The walls and arches are decorated with intricate ornaments and inscriptions in Arabic. A great place to touch the long and convoluted history of Granada!

If you are ready to take a 90km ride from the city, you’ll find yourself in a region of mountain villages, clinging to the southern slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The clusters of whitewashed houses on hilly terrain are crossed by winding cobbled streets. Almond trees, terraces with crops and vineyards complete the scene. What a great place for a calm relaxing stroll!
