How to get around Romania?

Passenger trains, electric trains, buses, taxis, and planes are at your disposal.

Usually, all means of the city public transport operate non-stop from 5:00 till 23:00. You can buy tickets at stalls near the stops.

As for intercity connections, there are buses, trains, and planes. Usually, direct inner air transportation is rare and relatively expensive. It is better to use a bus or train to get around and between big cities like Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Iași or Constanța. The same goes for smaller towns, such as Craiova, Brașov, Galați, and Ploiești, which can also be interesting for tourists.
